uncovering regional stories worth sharing.
tell New England was formed in 2013 as a creative outlet and way to express a unified love for New England through photography and story telling. It grew into a digital publication that saw the successful release of 12 issues; 4 issues per year. In early 2018, the team decided to pause content publication in order to reassess our model. Since then, we’ve found our own unwavering love and support for the region impossible to ignore - and our content publishing has continued, but at a much more relaxed pace. We are grateful for our journey thus far, and look forward to continuing to share stories of the region and the wonderful people within it.
tell New England is our ode to New England, its people and its stories, and thus, we are committed to telling the stories of small businesses, makers, entrepreneurs, restaurants, farms, recipes, etc.
We are committed to telling the story of our rich landscape and surroundings. New England is a uniquely wonderful region that is defined by its seasons. Its harsh and bitterly cold winters delight in the vibrant cherry blossoms of spring. Blissful summer evenings listening to frogs croak on the lake shore give way to the bursting colors of autumn's foliage. But these seasons are not the only thing that defines New England. We believe that the stories told here for centuries – a tradition we hope to continue – is integral to our foundation.
We are committed to telling the story of local. We feel that "local" is more than just a movement and a buzz word featured on fancy menus. Local is supporting your neighbor, the farmer and their family down the street and the 'mom & pop' store on the corner. Supporting local helps to build a sense of community and encourages us to define a sense of place. Local creates character, and we feel that New England is full of character. At tell, we love sharing the story of local.
We hope that you will continue to read along.
