Built on the site of a historic Inn, Tamworth Distilling & Mercantile opened their doors in the summer of 2015 in the quaint town of Tamworth, New Hampshire. Their operation is a small-scale test kitchen, inspired by their surroundings, crops available in the region, and a New England transcendentalist lifestyle. Tamworth's farm-to-bottle product line offers a variety of spirits for any palette; whiskey, gin, vodka and their popular garden infusion spirits which rely on New England's seasonal crops & produce. Visit their distillery Wednesday-Sunday, 12:00-5:00PM.
Working with local family farms, Tamworth Distilling sources ingredients for their product line using only the freshest & best in season. Further, a portion of every bottle sold goes to the Tamworth Land Trust, which is committed to maintaining Tamworth as a continued source of agriculture.
Water is also very important in creating the best products. The water used in bottling and production is sourced from the Ossipee Aquifer, a valuable resource of safe, contaminant-free drinking water...some of the purest along the East Coast.
Tamworth Distilling's small-batch products are only available at their distillery, located at 15 Cleveland Hill Road in Tamworth, NH, but visiting this small New Hampshire village will not disappoint. Swing by their sister-store, Tamworth Lyceum for quality hand-crafted goods, a cup of coffee and some music brought you by local musicians and artists. During the summer months, be sure to visit their farmer's market. And year-round, stop by Chocorua Lake for picturesque views.
