New England Irish Coffee: A St. Patrick's Day Special

If you know us, you know that we are huge fans of local ingredients, especially in a cocktail. For this unique spin on the basic Irish coffee recipe, we added some sweetness with local maple syrup and a bit of homemade whipped cream. We recommend using only products from New England to make this a true Northeast treat. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

New England Irish Coffee

  • 1oz local whiskey - We recommend one from Bully Boy Distillers (Boston)
  • 1/2oz local Maple Syrup
  • 4oz coffee - Try A&E Coffee Roasters (New Hampshire)
  • Cinnamon or nutmeg garnish
  • Top with homemade whipped cream

Combine coffee, whiskey, and maple syrup in a glass.

For the whipped cream, combine 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream and 1 oz simple syrup in a cocktail shaker or mason jar (something with a lid). Shake until it's thick and whipped. Spoon on top of your drink and sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish.

Enjoy!
