In the quiet town of Wilton, New Hampshire sits a restored 1765 farmhouse surrounded by grazing farm animals and rolling pastures. Step inside and you're stepping foot into Hilltop Cafe, a humble cafe committed to serving only the best dishes using farm fresh and organic ingredients. The cafe itself sits on The Temple Wilton Community farm, one of the oldest CSA’s in the country. What they don't source from the farm, they source from the local community.
Next time you find yourself near Wilton, be sure to swing by Hilltop Cafe. It's a true 'farm to table' experience and you'd be happy to hear that's is more than just a quick pit stop for grub...in fact, we recommend staying for an hour or two. After your meal, wander the farm a bit and visit with whatever animals may be out and about or duck into the shop and pick up some fresh poultry, eggs, maple syrup, jams and a bounty of other items! If you don't feel like getting back in the car just yet, take the path up to the High Mowing field and enjoy the expansive views from above!
Looking for the perfect gift for a friend or family member? Anyone would appreciate one of the locally produced items from the Hilltop shop, or perhaps, sweep them away from the bustle of city life & the holiday frenzy for a slow-paced and leisurely breakfast or lunch on the farm. We ought to be selfish about this hidden gem, but some places are too great not to share with the community!
Hilltop Cafe is located at 195 Isaac Frye Highway in Wilton, New Hampshire. They're open Wednesday - Sunday 8 AM - 2 PM and currently* closed Mondays & Tuesdays.
(*Hilltop Cafe is closed on Tuesdays starting in November)
