In the heart of the South End is Olives & Grace, a neighborhood favorite filled with hand-crafted goods from makers here in New England and across the U.S.. Filled with a range of small-batch items such as cocktail syrups and mixers, artisan chocolates and caramels, ceramics, linens and more, you'll be sure to find something for just about anyone on your holiday gift list this year. The shop's tagline, "a curtsy to the makers", is a statement of commitment that the Olives & Grace team has for small-batch makers. It's a support system that's welcomed by small businesses as the shop has become a committed partner in the movement towards owning lovingly, hand-made goods over mass-produced products lacking meaning and a story.
Every day, Sofi Madison opens the doors to Olives & Grace and welcomes the neighborhood into her home away from home. She has meticulously selected the goods that stock the shelves, holding them to a higher standard. Many are from New England makers, such as McCrea's Candies and Forestbound bags, but there is also an offering from artists beyond the region. Sofi seeks the best of the best, and is also a supporter of goods with a cause. Due to the success of the shop & continued support of the community, Olives & Grace was able to move into a new location with greater square-footage, allowing more makers to find homes on the shelves.
This holiday season, be sure to swing into Olives & Grace. And if you don't have the chance to stop in before the chaos of the holidays begins, swing by any time of the year as the inventory is always changing and Sofi is constantly giving you reasons to stop by. Meet the Maker events with tastings and even workshops and how-to's on gift wrapping and terrarium building is something Sofi is always serving up. And of course, for anyone not in the immediate area looking to do some shopping, you can visit the online store for all your gifting needs.
Olives & Grace is located in Boston's South End at 623 Tremont Street, and is open 7 days a week; Monday – Saturdays from 10 AM - 8 PM and Sundays from 10 AM - 6 PM.
