In 2015, Boston Public Market officially opened their doors. However, far before the door opening ceremony, the market was well underway, set to becoming a year-round market selling various goods and produce from New England. In 2001, a group of food producers, restaurateurs, advocates formed the Boston Public Market Association. Many years of dedication for the market place has produced today's result; a year-round, indoor market featuring over 35 vendors selling only fresh and locally sourced goods from Massachusetts and New England.
Beyond the vendors, Boston Public Market also offers educational programming through The Kitchen. The Kitchen is a 3200 square foot space, with programming offered by the Trustees of Reservations in various areas such as cooking instruction and hands-on demos, lectures, family activities, exercise classes, training and more. Next month, REI is sponsoring morning yoga on January 7th, while the 16th offers a class on 'Seasonal Soups for the Soul'.
Some classes are free of charge while others charge a comparable fee depending on the material. Check out their full line-up to learn more!
